Heading to Mars in my shiny coat.

Remember that jacket I posted back in October of last year? I’m guessing if you’re seeing this post you can see that I’m wearing it (finally!!!) Lol. I also have good news since I had gotten so many inquiries about people wanting one of their own. I finally found more of the fabric and have enough to make a couple. I will be posting details at my online shop  mob84.com and instagram (@missodessa) on when they are ready to sell and how much one will run you.

Holo Nail Polish by Color Club

So I work with my hands pretty much everyday and for the most part I just keep my nails painted clear to avoid walking around with tacky chipped polish. I rarely paint them anymore but when I saw the color “Miss Bliss” (pink holo) by Color Club I just had to have it. The nail polish is what’s called a “holographic” polish, basically the glitters reflect multiple colors when hit with light. It looks like a metallic pink when you’re in indoor lighting but the moment you step outside it looks like your fingers have been painted with unicorn shit and who doesn’t like unicorns? Also it makes me want to go outside just so I can stare at my own hands and these days I need more reasons to get out and get me some Vitamin D.

Futuristic 90’s wear

Scored a really nice color shifting fabric from a client ended up making a jacket & it came out so much better than I thought it would! It’s my first time making a puff jacket & it’s giving me that 90’s puff daddy, shiny man suit vibe. I’m looking for more of the fabric but so far have had zero luck finding the exact fabric. It’s not foiled dot spandex, its a solid foil and a really good quality. I do however think the foil will wear off after some wear, so this is more of a special occasions jacket than it would be an everyday one. As soon as I find more of this I might do a small run of coats I’ve gotten a lot of request since posting it on my IG story.

The Blue Pear Burger Recipe

The Blue Pear Burger recipe ingredients

The first time I had a burger with pears and blue cheese I was at the Elephant Bar in Emeryville Ca. and instantly fell in love with it. I knew it would be something that I wanted to eat again but didn’t necessarily want to go out of my way to get, especially if I could make it at home. So I scoured the internet for a recipes of burgers cooked with pears and finally found one I could tweak to my liking. The blue pear burger recipe features caramelized pears,  balsamic red onions, arugula leaves, and is topped with blue cheese and crispy maple walnut bacon. The flavors go so well together and it is very close to the original Elephant Bar burger with the exception that I added bacon and different herbs and spices to the patty. I named it the blue pear burger obviously not bcause the pears are actually blue but they are topped with blue cheese. Any who, here goes the recipe. Enjoy.
